This Giving Tuesday, the Little Flower Penny Dinners would like to express gratitude to all the organisations & individuals who continue to support our charity and make it possible for us to continue feeding Dublin. A big thank you to the team that prepare the meals on a daily basis and our delivery drivers who are essential to keeping the service up and running. No matter the weather or the time of the year, the team is there to ensure that the operations are running smoothly.

This is what makes it possible for the Little Flower to serve people 365 days a year. Whether it is by delivering food to people that are unable to come in for a visit or providing a safe place for people to socialise while enjoying a hot meal in our premises. Serving a meal is so much more than just fulfilling a basic need, it is about the human element and letting people know that there is someone there that cares & will listen to them. That is why our slogan is as follows “food for the body, food for the soul”.

With basic human needs such as heat and food becoming more expensive, the number of people seeking additional support is on the rise. The Little Flower are determined to continue helping as many people as possible and on this Giving Tuesday we would like to encourage organisations, shops & individuals to show their support on the 29th of November.

There are multiple ways you can contribute this Giving Tuesday. Some ideas include setting up a fundraiser in the office or on your premises for staff & customers or creating a raffle where all the proceeds go to a charity, even by just sharing this message or one of our posts on social media will help to spread the word and make more people aware of the service we provide. You can be as creative as you want. Remember no one can do everything but everyone can do something.

This day is not only about appealing to the public to ask for your kind donations that keep our operations running but it is really about Thanking All of You for the continuous support. We have been serving people for over 110 years because of the generosity of people such as yourself.
