Siobhan is 8 years old and living in a homeless hub in Dublin city centre with her three siblings and her mum. This year she would love to just have a day out to feel 'normal'. Siobhan used to love a trip to the cinema.

Giving Tuesday is one day but not the only way to make a world of difference to a child like Siobhan.

Ireland’s national organisation for one-parent families, One Family is changing attitudes, services, policies and lives. Beyond our advocacy campaigns, our counselling support and the services we provide to parents and professionals, one of the ways we support families in need is through our festive campaign aimed at making Christmas a little easier for children and adults living in difficult circumstances.

Our Make a Wish Come True campaign is our biggest annual fundraising drive. In December 2023, we provided gifts to 300 children. This is an invaluable lifeline for many parents faced with insurmountable costs and expenses during the festive season.
