Applegreen has today announced that the Applegreen Charitable Fund has reached the incredible amount of €5 million. Established in 2009, the aim of the fund is to give back to the communities in which Applegreen operates across Ireland. Throughout the years, many charity partners have been supported, with the aim to deliver tangible and visible benefit to the communities that Applegreen serve. Supported by colleagues, suppliers and customers, the funds are boosted by ongoing fundraising activities and events organised by Applegreen colleagues; and initiatives including the ‘You Buy, We Give’ where 1 cent per sale is donated by Applegreen to the fund at no extra cost to the customer.

Rosie Begley, CSR Manager says:

We know that these funds make a huge difference in our local communities. We are extremely grateful to our colleagues, customers and suppliers who have been a huge part of reaching this milestone. The essence of the Applegreen charitable fund is to always keep our employees and customers at the heart of what we are trying to achieve in our local communities. We are thrilled that the fund has raised over €5 Million for adult and children’s services in Ireland and we want to thank everyone for playing their part to help raise these vital funds.

Giving Tuesday takes place on the 29th November 2022. It is a global campaign which celebrates and enhances generosity in our communities. This Giving Tuesday Applegreen will be sharing stories about how our Charitable Fund has made a real difference to the communities we serve.
