Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to use their individual power of generosity to support their communities. It allows us to spotlight the crucial work we do and the wishes we grant at Make-A-Wish Ireland. Donate today to help us grant a wish to a critically ill child: Make-A-Wish Ireland - Children's Charity

We recently granted the wish of Cian, an inspiring young golf fanatic with incredible courage. Cian has faced immense health challenges from a very young age, including a heart transplant, organ failure, and post-transplant lymphoma. Despite Cian’s significant health complications, he has remained resilient and passionate about life, and in particular sports.

Cian’s wish came true at this year’s Amgen Irish Open at the Royal County Down Golf Club, where was told he would be going for an inside the ropes experience during the Pro-Am, but he was in for some incredible surprises on the day.

Cian and his dad met Shane Lowry as he finished his Pro-Am round on the 18th green. It only got better from there as Cian walked down to the practice putting greens for a private putting clinic with Shane.

Cian’s dad Gavin told us “The wish went above and beyond, the little surprises throughout the day just made it better and better. Most importantly making my son feel special for all the right reasons.”

By donating to Make-A-Wish Ireland this Giving Tuesday you will help spark joy and light up hope in the lives of children just like Cian. Read More about Cian’s Wish: Cian's Wish - Make-A-Wish Ireland - Children's Charity
