Will you help a woman in Tigray give birth safely?

This Christmas, Ethiopiaid is asking for your support to ensure that women in the conflict-ravaged Tigray region of Ethiopia can give birth safely.

The devastating war in Tigray has left millions displaced and severely damaged healthcare services, leaving pregnant women facing unimaginable challenges. Many must walk for hours or even days to reach the nearest clinic, often only to find it devoid of the supplies and care they desperately need.

Your support on GivingTuesday can change this reality.

With your donation, you can help equip Maternal Health Ambassadors—dedicated individuals who travel into remote areas, identify high-risk pregnancies, and connect women with the care they need. These ambassadors are a lifeline for mothers, ensuring they receive timely support and guidance.

The journey to healthcare can be arduous, which is why Ethiopiaid is also focused on building and restoring maternity waiting homes. These shelters provide a safe and comfortable space for women to wait for labor, with healthcare professionals nearby to assist when the time comes.

Your contribution will also ensure that clinics have the essential maternal health supplies needed to help women deliver their babies safely.

This Christmas, give the gift of safe childbirth. Visit https://ethiopiaid.ie/kit/ to donate and make a difference today.
