On Thursday, 17 August 2023 the Charities Institute Ireland team were thrilled to meet with Balazs Gerencser and his colleagues from NIOK Foundation, our GivingTuesday partners in Hungary.
The NIOK Foundation's mission is to strengthen the civil society in Hungary through the work of non-profit organizations by empowering them in terms of capacity building. The NIOK Foundation has developed programs to improve the professionalism and effectiveness of non-profits and strengthen their relationship with the public administration, the business community and society as a whole.
Our organisations have many similarities including running the GivingTuesday movements in our countries. It was a really great round table session of knowledge sharing where we discussed education, awards, networking, mentoring and future collaborations.
We look forward to seeing all their plans for Giving Tuesday in Hungary this year!
