Pieta offers free counselling to anyone experiencing suicidal ideation, engaging in self-harm or who has been bereaved by suicide. Pieta operates in 20 centres across Ireland and offers video counselling, crisis helpline services and in-person therapy. Since opening its doors in 2006 Pieta has helped over 70,000 people and today provides over 1,000 hours of therapy a week. All therapists are fully qualified and offer compassionate, professional one-to-one therapeutic services.
This year for Giving Tuesday Pieta will launch a programmatic digital display fundraising appeal. The campaign focuses on Pieta’s crisis helpline which receives over 300 calls and texts a day. Pieta hopes the campaign will raise vital funds for their helpline and remind people that no one is alone this Christmas.
Pieta will also be promoting Giving Tuesday in the lead-up to the 29th of November by encouraging their social media following to give their time to a loved one or organisation through volunteering, or simply give themselves time for self-care.
